Lecturer International Relations Study Program and experts team of GreenMetric, President University (PresUniv), Muhammad Sigit Andhi Rahman, collaborated to publish the book Belajar dari KELOLA SENDANG: Isu-isu Kritis dalam Tata Kelola Lanskap. The book co-authored by Akhmad Arief F. and Meiardhy M. is published by the Penabulu Foundation.
KELOLA SENDANG in this book stands for Pengelolaan Lanskap Sembilang-Dangku. This book discusses the experience during the four years (2017-2020) of a consortium coordinated by the Zoological Society of London in developing government-public-private partnerships to manage 1.6 million hectares of landscapes. This landscape stretches between Sembilang National Park and Dangku Wildlife Reserve. Sigit said, “This landscape is located in 19 sub-districts in Banyuasin Regency and Musi Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra Province. The ecosystem includes marine, freshwater, semi-terrestrial and terrestrial ecosystems.” Activities carried out include discussion, dialogue, institutional development, strengthening and partnership actions.
This book is important because it contains experiences on how to make decisions in an inclusive manner, building a collaborative culture, including how to coordinate across actors, across sectors and across scales.
